The West Bengal Teacher Eligibility Test, commonly known as WB TET, is a state-level examination conducted by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE). The exam is conducted to test the eligibility of candidates who aspire to become teachers for primary and upper primary levels in schools located in West Bengal.
WB Primary TET Exam Pattern 2023
The WB TET exam is conducted in offline mode, and the duration of the exam is two and a half hours for each paper. The questions asked in the exam are multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with four options, and candidates have to choose the correct option from them.

WB Primary TET Exam Passing Criteria 2023
To qualify for the WB TET exam, candidates need to secure a minimum of 60% marks. However, for reserved category candidates, the qualifying marks are relaxed to 55%. The exam is held once a year, and candidates who clear the exam can apply for teaching jobs in primary and upper primary schools located in West Bengal.

- Candidates should be Indian citizens.
- Candidates should have completed their graduation from a recognized university.
- Candidates should have completed a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) course or a two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) from a recognized institute
- Candidates should be proficient in Bengali, and they need to produce a certificate to that effect.
