JKPSC AE Mechanical Interview 2023
This exam was conducted in December 2022 and now the result is going to be conducted very soon as announced by the board. In this article, we are going to tell you about the 2023 result announcement. The JKPSC AE Mechanical exam consists of two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is a General Studies paper, and Paper 2 is a technical paper. Both papers are conducted in a single day. The exam is conducted for a total of 450 marks.
JKPSC AE Mechanical Exam Pattern & Weightage
Paper 1 – General Studies: This paper consists of 120 multiple-choice questions, with a total of 120 marks. The time duration for Paper 1 is 2 hours. The syllabus for Paper 1 includes topics such as General Science, Current Events, the History of India, Indian Polity and Economy, Geography, and Environmental Science.
UPMRC Assistant Manager & JE Result Date 2023
Paper 2 – Technical Paper: This paper consists of 130 multiple-choice questions, with a total of 330 marks. The time duration for Paper 2 is 3 hours. The syllabus for Paper 2 includes topics such as Strength of Materials, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Theory of Machines, and Machine Design.
JKPSC AE Mechanical Merit List 2023
The JKPSC AE Exam is conducted in two stages – the written exam and the interview. The written exam consists of two papers, Paper-I and Paper II, which are both objective types. Paper-I consists of questions from the candidate’s respective engineering discipline, while Paper II consists of questions from general knowledge and reasoning.
The cut-off marks for the JKPSC AE Exam are determined separately for each paper, and a candidate needs to score the minimum cut-off marks in both papers to be considered for the further selection process. The JKPSC releases the cut-off marks along with the result of the exam.

This year also the exam was 100 questions. The cut-off for that is based on the following components–
- The number of candidates who appeared in the Assistant Engineer exam.
- The previous year’s cut-off marks
- The number of vacancies that have been shared by the PW (R&B) Department.
- The difficulty level of the paper was held on Saturday.
