Maha TET Notification 2023
To recruit teachers for primary and upper primary levels in the state’s government and private schools. It is mandatory for all aspiring teachers to qualify for the Maha TET exam to be eligible for teaching jobs in Maharashtra.
Maha TET Eligibility Criteria 2023
To apply for Maha TET, a candidate must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
For Primary Level (Class I to V) |

Candidate must have passed 12th with a minimum of 50% marks and a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.Ed) or Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) or Diploma in Special Education (DSE) or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in relevant subjects.
For Upper Primary Level (Class VI to VIII)
The candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant subjects with a minimum of 50% marks and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree.

Maha TET Application Process 2023
The application process for Maha TET is conducted online on the official website of MSCE. Candidates need to follow the below-mentioned steps to apply for Maha TET:
- Visit the official website of MSCE and click on the “Maha TET” link.
- Register by providing personal details like name, date of birth, and email ID.
- Fill in the application form by providing educational qualifications, contact details, and other necessary information.
- Upload scanned copies of a passport-sized photograph and signature.
- Pay the application fee online through net banking or a credit/debit card.
Maha TET Exam Pattern 2023
Maha TET is conducted in two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is for candidates aspiring to teach from Class I to V, while Paper 2 is for candidates aspiring to teach from Class VI to VIII.
Paper 1
The exam consists of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) for 150 marks, with a duration of 2.5 hours. The questions are asked from Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I (Marathi/Urdu/Hindi/English), Language II (Marathi/Urdu/Hindi/English), Mathematics, and Environmental Studies.

Mathematics and Science
Mathematics and Science topics will be from the syllabus of Class I to V for Paper 1 and Class VI to VIII for Paper 2.
