The National Defence Academy (NDA) exam is one of the most prestigious and competitive exams in India. It is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) twice a year to select candidates for admission into the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. The exam is open to both male and female candidates who have completed their 10+2 education.

NDA Tier 1 Exam Pattern 2023
The NDA exam is conducted in two stages –
A written examination and an interview were conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB). The written examination consists of two papers – Mathematics and General Ability Test (GAT). The Mathematics paper carries 300 marks and the GAT paper carries 600 marks. Both papers are objective type and are conducted in a pen and paper format. The duration of each paper is 2.5 hours.
